The Aura workshop in Holland developed the Zamra series in 1998. This range of soprano, alto and tenor recorders are made of wax-impregnated maple, making the wood quite stable and lessening the need for oiling and maintenance. Altos and tenors in this series are available with or without a single key. Zamra recorders are very easy to play and therefore an excellent choice for beginners.
